We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing operation and drive operational excellence across production, quality, supply chain, engineering, maintenance, finance, human resources, and environmental health and safety functions. This leadership role is responsible for achieving strategic business objectives, driving continuous improvement, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational performance aligns with both short-term and long-term organizational goals.
Position Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead all aspects of plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Develop and execute strategies that support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure alignment between plant performance goals and overall business objectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity improvements.
- Implement measurable action plans that improve operational performance and efficiency.
Safety & Environmental Management
- Promote a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence.
- Lead initiatives focused on achieving world-class safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Quality Assurance
- Foster a culture focused on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives that improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure quality systems and processes support operational and customer requirements.
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage operational performance against financial objectives and profitability targets.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cost management initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Talent Development & Workforce Leadership
- Build, develop, and mentor leadership teams and plant personnel.
- Partner with functional leaders to support workforce development and succession planning.
- Create a high-performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and human resources teams to support business objectives.
- Drive alignment across departments to improve operational execution and organizational performance.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, supply chain management, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Experience leading large-scale operations and driving organizational change.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and business decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification.
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
- Environmental, Health & Safety Certifications.
