We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, supply chain, operational excellence, finance, human resources, and environmental health and safety. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing high-performing teams, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the facility achieves its strategic and financial objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Manufacturing Leadership
- Lead day-to-day plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth and profitability.
- Ensure alignment between plant goals and broader organizational objectives.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and operational best practices.
- Establish performance metrics and monitor progress toward operational goals.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and operational standards.
- Lead initiatives that improve workplace safety performance and risk mitigation.
Quality Management
- Oversee quality systems and ensure products consistently meet customer requirements.
- Support ongoing improvements in quality performance and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve complex quality-related issues and drive corrective actions.
Supply Chain & Capacity Planning
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure efficient material flow and production scheduling.
- Evaluate manufacturing capacity and resource requirements to support current and future business needs.
- Optimize inventory, production efficiency, and operational throughput.
Financial & Business Performance
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and profit planning activities.
- Monitor operational performance against financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Team Development & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
- Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, production management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing operational performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Environmental, Health & Safety Certifications.
