We are seeking an experienced Viking Masek Service Technician to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support for automated packaging equipment. This role requires a hands-on technical professional with direct experience working on Viking Masek machinery and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal machine performance in a production environment.
Position Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Viking Masek packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within performance specifications.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and manuals to support troubleshooting efforts.
- Minimize downtime through timely and accurate repairs.
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Verify proper machine operation and functionality following installation or repairs.
- Support production teams during equipment startups and operational transitions.
Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise to operations, maintenance, and production teams.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and best practices.
- Recommend improvements to increase machine reliability and efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and repair documentation.
- Track equipment performance and identify recurring issues.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and standard operating practices.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with operational and regulatory standards.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training.
- Direct hands-on experience working with Viking Masek packaging equipment is required.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing maintenance and repair in manufacturing or packaging environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Stable employment history with demonstrated experience supporting packaging machinery.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Industrial Maintenance Certification
