We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee external operations, circular economy initiatives, and third-party manufacturing partnerships within a complex supply chain environment. This role will focus on capacity planning, logistics coordination, vendor performance, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable service levels, operational efficiency, and long-term supply chain optimization. Position Responsibilities
Circular Economy Strategy & Program Management
- Develop and execute circular economy and sustainability initiatives aligned with long-term business objectives
- Manage relationships with external recycling and processing partners
- Support sourcing strategies for recycled and reusable materials
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for program expansion and operational improvement
- Coordinate logistics and material flow strategies to support circular economy operations
Third-Party Operations & Capacity Planning
- Develop capacity planning models and production schedules for external vendors and manufacturing partners
- Manage scheduling cadence and operational alignment across third-party operations
- Support onboarding, qualification, and ramp-up activities for new vendors or product lines
- Monitor vendor performance, schedule adherence, and operational efficiency metrics
- Lead corrective actions and recovery plans during operational disruptions
Inventory Management & Logistics Coordination
- Oversee end-to-end material flow across multiple external processing steps
- Establish inventory strategies, safety stock targets, and replenishment planning processes
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics partners to optimize freight and delivery performance
- Ensure planning system accuracy, including lead times, scheduling parameters, and inventory visibility
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with operations, procurement, sales, planning, quality, and transportation teams
- Provide executive-ready reporting and operational performance updates
- Support strategic initiatives through data analysis and operational recommendations
- Influence decision-making across multiple stakeholders and external partners
Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis
- Analyze operational data to identify process improvement opportunities
- Drive cost optimization and working capital improvement initiatives
- Support development of scalable supply chain processes and operating rhythms
- Maintain focus on customer service, supply continuity, and operational excellence
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in supply chain, external operations, or contract manufacturing environments
- Strong experience in S&OP, capacity planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination
- Experience managing third-party vendors, recyclers, or external processing networks
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel approximately 15–20% as needed
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- APICS / ASCM Certification (CPIM or CSCP)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP Certification
- MBA or advanced business degree
