We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics and distribution operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods, accurate inventory control, and on-time delivery. This role partners closely with warehouse, transportation, and customer-facing teams to support operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
Operations Oversight
- Supervise day-to-day logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and distribution
- Ensure schedules, workflows, and staffing plans align with service and productivity goals
- Monitor KPIs related to on-time delivery, order accuracy, and cost efficiency
Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities
- Coordinate storage, handling, and material flow to optimize space and throughput
- Address discrepancies, damages, and shortages promptly
Transportation & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with carriers, 3PLs, and internal transportation resources
- Resolve shipment issues and delays while maintaining service levels
- Support rate reviews and cost-control initiatives
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- Promote safe work practices and support safety audits and training
Team Leadership
- Train, coach, and schedule logistics staff
- Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture
- Support performance reviews and continuous development
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or warehouse operations
- Prior supervisory or lead experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS and Microsoft Office
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP)
- Lean or Six Sigma
- OSHA safety training
