We are seeking a Technical Director who will provide strategic technical leadership, guide engineering initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of projects by driving innovation, quality, and cross-functional collaboration.
Position Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the technical vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide direction on engineering standards, best practices, and long-term technology planning.
- Oversee technical decision-making and support critical project milestones.
Project Oversight & Execution
- Lead technical aspects of multiple projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality targets are achieved.
- Review project requirements, designs, and deliverables to ensure engineering excellence.
- Support risk assessment, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, operations, product, and leadership teams to support integrated solutions.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Guide resource planning, team coordination, and technical prioritization.
Team Development & Mentorship
- Mentor engineers and technical staff, fostering skill development and knowledge growth.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous performance improvement.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and high technical standards.
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to applicable technical standards, regulatory requirements, and quality processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering workflows.
- Evaluate tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance efficiency and product performance.
Prerequisites
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Extensive experience in technical leadership or senior engineering roles.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and oversee complex projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, design principles, and project lifecycle management.
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to review and guide technical designs and architectures.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Other Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally based on project needs.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- PMP or other project management certifications
- INCOSE ASEP/CSEP
