We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our client’s team on the first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), with potential to transition into the second shift as needed. This hands-on role is focused on TIG welding, with some opportunity for MIG welding as well. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both aluminum and steel, with current production needs leaning more heavily toward aluminum work. Position Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum and steel materials
- Use MIG welding when needed, depending on project requirements
- Ensure welds meet visual and dimensional specifications and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine specifications and weld requirements
- Maintain and set up welding equipment as needed
- Collaborate with fabrication and machining teams to support seamless production
- Follow work schedules and meet daily production goals
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Perform self-inspection and assist with troubleshooting any welding defects
- Support continuous improvement in welding quality and process efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in alignment with company safety and quality policies
Prerequisites
- Prior experience with TIG welding is required
- MIG welding experience is preferred
- Comfortable working with aluminum and steel, with an emphasis on aluminum
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or welding schematics
- Willingness to potentially move to second shift in the future
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Welding certifications are a strong plus, although specific cert types are flexible
- Candidates with AWS or other recognized welding certs will stand out
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal welding training or apprenticeship is a plus
