Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner to support and guide HR initiatives within a dynamic industrial manufacturing environment. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, this individual will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving key HR functions including talent management, organizational development, associate engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and committed to aligning HR strategies with business objectives to enhance organizational performance and culture.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain 100% compliance with and commitment to company safety policies and procedures
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Support organization design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management initiatives
- Advise and coach business leaders on associate performance, leadership development, and succession planning
- Ensure inclusion and engagement strategies are implemented to support overall talent effectiveness
- Lead investigations into employee concerns and issues
- Respond to employee complaints in a consistent, timely, and appropriate manner
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and legal guidelines across departments
- Partner with leadership during associate-related incidents and guide them through best practices
- Analyze workforce trends and risks to recommend actionable talent strategies
- Implement efficient metrics and benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational structure and succession planning initiatives
- Lead and manage the impact of organizational change on culture and associates
- Serve as a change agent to drive transformation initiatives
- Partner with Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, and Recruiting to deliver integrated HR services
- Ensure a seamless internal customer experience across HR functions
- Take on special projects and other responsibilities as assigned to support business needs
Prerequisites
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a business-partnering or generalist role
- 3+ years in a leadership capacity (direct or indirect)
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and HR compliance best practices
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, or operational environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior leaders with data-driven recommendations
- Experience managing organizational change, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
