Responsibilities:
- Execute bi-weekly payroll processing with precision, adhering to company policies, legal standards, and compliance requirements by coordinating with various internal and corporate teams.
- Provide multifaceted administrative support, including preparing complex and confidential reports, presentations, and managing union and legal communications.
- Drive process improvement initiatives for payroll and administrative functions, ensuring systems are streamlined and up-to-date.
- Maintain comprehensive filing systems and records in line with legal stipulations and corporate policies.
- Manage the timekeeping system, ensuring accurate tracking of employee hours, shifts, and attendance.
- Generate and handle various payroll and HR reports, tracking essential metrics like seniority, benefits, and attendance, and process related payments.
- Assist in maintaining employee records, complying with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Support HR with attendance tracking, leave administration, new hire orientations, and other employee-related activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of dedicated payroll experience, with proficiency in Kronos or UKG systems.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment is preferred, with an understanding of labor agreements and related payroll implications.
- A background of 2-4 years in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Washington State payroll laws.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and adept at managing information with discretion and tact.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
