A prominent manufacturer in the industrial coatings industry is seeking an Accounting Manager in the greater Norfolk, Virginia area. 

Norfolk Accounting Manager Job Opening 

• Directly oversee all accounting department activities and ensure the department consistently operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 
• Effectively operate and manage QuickBooks, including the General Ledger. 
• Work to ensure payroll is performed on time and without error. 
• Regularly perform tax/regulatory compliance actions via ADP software modules. 
• Deliver advance warning of negative financial events or trends to company officers, participating in the recommendation and selection of solutions. 

Accounting Manager (Norfolk area) Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related is required for this position. 
• At least 3 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. 
• Working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) in relation to federal contracts. 
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) is preferred for this role. 
• Excellent communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
