Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager Overview:
The Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager will perform analysis on metrics to develop demand plans for the organization. The Demand Planning Manager will consistently evaluate metrics and data to refine demand forecasts in order to improve plans. Provide commentary and analysis to management and senior staff on demand data. Develop prioritization plans when supply gaps occur. The Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager will report to the Director of Supply Chain.
Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager Job Opening
- The Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager will coordinate with purchasing staff to properly develop demand plans.
- Receive and analyze financial outlooks and plans to inform demand plans.
- Partner with supply chain personnel to identify gaps between the forecast and orders. Find ways to future correct gaps.
- The Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager will work with supply planning to suggest inventory needed for items and new products.
- Analyze customer budgets, sales plans, and other information to adjust plans.
- Lead research project teams to solve major variance issues with forecasts and plans to better match orders.
- The Minneapolis Demand Planning Manager will meet regularly to receive forecast feedback from finance and sales staff.
- Perform general research to find market data and intelligence to inform plans.
- Summarize and provide commentary on statistical forecasts for senior managers.
Demand Planning Manager (Minneapolis Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in supply chain, finance, operations, or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least five to seven years of experience in sales, supply chain, and demand planning.
- At least two years working directly with and advising senior managers.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial products.
- A strong understanding of statistics, forecasting, and the principles of forecasting for finance and operations.
- Familiarity with SAP systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software such as word, excel, outlook, and powerpoint.
- Proven history of process improvement project management.
- Ability to speak Spanish would be beneficial for this role.
