Develop a sampling procedure and a procedure for recording data acquired during quality assurance activities at the Detroit, Michigan site.
The Quality Engineer will develop and establish goals for the quality assurance team in line with company goals and priorities.
Notify management of significant quality issues or developments.
The Quality Engineer will develop and enact a quality assurance training program in collaboration with Quality Managers.
The Quality Engineer will field customer complaints, investigate the process and identify the cause of the problem.
Keep an up to date knowledge of government and industry quality standards.

Quality Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of ten years of quality assurance experience.
Previous automotive industry experience.
An above average level of math skills. Understanding of statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
Experienced with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
Quality Engineer certification.
Past experience with TS16949 quality standards.
Lean Six Sigma experience or certification is preferred.
