The Human Resources Manager will oversee all staffing functions and assist the company in circulating policies and directives to employees across departments.

Human Resources Manger Overview: 

The main priority of the Human Resources Manager will be to ensure the safety and health of employees by making everyone aware of the policies and procedures that govern day to day activities. Additionally, the HR manager will use directives and hiring to build a strong and efficient workforce, especially the HR department. The Human resources manager will also be a driving force in company culture, fostering an environment that is employee-focused and continuously improving with minimal turnover.

Human Resources Manger Job Opening:

  • Create and enact plans for HR to assist company growth. This includes all recruitment practices, disciplinary procedures, employee counseling and grievances, contracts and pay, coaching and training employees, fostering a positive culture, employee reviews, and quality issues.
  • Create and administer systems for measuring HR development.
  • Record and track all HR issues.
  • Ensure that departments’ expenses do not exceed the departmental budgets laid out.
  • Work to ensure that all standards of quality management, health, legal regulations, and environmental safety regulations.
  • Oversee the recruitment of new candidates for job openings, interview those candidates, and select the best candidate for the vacancy.
  • Keep a list of employees and a record of employee seniority.
  • Track employee productivity compared to production requirements.
  • Keep record of employee vacations, ensuring that all functions are performed with people absent.
  • Onboard new employees and create an early positive impression about company goals and guarantee new employees understand internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a record of all hiring, promotions, transfers, evaluations, and employee terminations.
  • Keep record in the OSHA log and conduct safety audits. Perform inquiries into accidents and provide reports on such accidents for insurance.
  • Follow wage surveys to offer competitive compensation to candidates and employees.
  • Plan and suggest actions to curb turnover and employees missing work.
  • Serve as a representative for the company at hearings as necessary.
  • Serve as a representative for the company during labor negotiations; take part in grievance hearings.
  • Create and oversee all incentive programs and events the company puts on.
  • Craft and enact strategies to train and improve the staff.
  • Create and oversee employee training programs.
  • Evaluate and select insurance programs.
  • Respond to and evaluate Unemployment claims.
  • Administer personnel files.
Job Requirements:
  • Four year university or college degree, or a minimum of four years HR experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Advanced reading skills to be able to identify nuances and niceties in business publications and government regulations.
  • Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and manuals on policies.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to convey information and respond to inquiries from a variety of colleagues, superiors, and direct reports.
  • Thorough understanding of the uses and applications of a computer for work.
  • Advanced problem solving skills and comfortable functioning in a wide range of scenarios.
  • Interpret instructions given in written, oral, or diagram presentations.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility.
  • General mobility and able to walk, stand, and sit. Able to lift at least ten pounds.

The Detroit CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, editing, and uploading code the meet production requirements. The Detroit CNC programmer will be the subject matter expert for the machines and the CNC manufacturing processes.

  • The Detroit CNC Programmer will create and edit code for CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss machines.
  • Set up machines for jobs and perform teardowns.
  • Order tools as necessary. Pre-set tools.
  • The Detroit CNC Programmer will must analyze codes and perform edits in order to optimize the tool path.
  • Read and analyze blueprints in order to ensure parts are manufactured within dimensions and tolerances.
  • Partner with staff in the Research and Development and Manufacturing Engineering departments to make the manufacturing process as expedited as possible.
  • The CNC Programmer must enter production data into SAP and Sharepoint programs on company computers.
  • Ensure that the work area is kept orderly, safe, and clean.
  • Service machines regularly, cleaning and lubricating all machines, tools, and equipment. Remove excess grease, rust, stains, or other foreign matter.
  • The CNC Programmer will ensure that preventative maintenance is performed as ordered by PM charts.
  • Must be comfortable being supervised and partnered with during machine set up.
  • Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, bench operations; set-up machines, and tear down.
  • Identify and document defective materials or improper conditions, informing the appropriate supervisor, lead, or department head.
  • Keep SDS checksheets.
  • Ensure that all products met specifications using micrometers, gages, and other measuring tools.
  • Train other team members in using CNC machines.
  • Understand the proper tooling for each job.
CNC Programmer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this job.
  • Understanding of GD&T standards, experience with tight tolerance products is preferable for this job.
  • Able to work with little direction, but not adverse to supervision.
  • Able to program 5-axis machines.
  • At least three years of programming experience, preferably with the programs Mastercam or Esprit.
  • An advanced knowledge of cutting tools and understanding of when tools need to be changed as well as what tools are best for certain functions.
  • Able to identify quality and non-conformance issues on small parts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of trigonometry.
  • Able to write G&M codes while on the job.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc and Mitsubishi machine controls.
  • Vericut job experience preferable.
  • Advanced programming knowledge (macro b programming, offset error checking) preferable for this job.

  • Work cross-functionally with leadership in various departments to ensure peak efficiency.

Vice President of Operations (Detroit Area) Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Familiarity with leading Kaizen events and lean principles. 
  • Six Sigma green belt or higher is preferred. 
  • Strong business acumen and operations skills.
