Flight Automation Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Flight Automation Technician to support the maintenance, operation, and deployment of advanced mobile packaging systems. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is hands-on with electromechanical systems, comfortable with travel, and passionate about cutting-edge automation technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in deploying and maintaining modular, mobile manufacturing units at client sites, ensuring high performance and operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electromechanical packaging equipment, including air compressors, industrial robots, tray formers, and related systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues up to 480 volts
  • Evaluate equipment failures and determine root cause in collaboration with technical teams

Deployment & Setup

  • Support the deployment, installation, and setup of new mobile packaging systems
  • Install modifications and system upgrades as instructed
  • Execute changeovers based on programmed packaging recipes for different formats

System Optimization & Improvement

  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize line performance
  • Follow preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and accurately log activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Apply best practices and continuous improvement techniques to enhance equipment efficiency

General Operational Support

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Assist in installing replacement materials and performing system upgrades
  • Perform lubrication, cleaning, and routine service tasks on all deployed equipment
  • Operate aerial lifts or sky jacks up to 22 feet when necessary

Other Duties

  • Travel to customer sites for system installations and ongoing support (up to 90% travel required)
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Automation Technician Manager

Prerequisites

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 5–7 years of experience as a plant mechanic, automation technician, or field service technician
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools
  • Skilled with computer systems and maintenance tracking software
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience (preferred up to 480V)
  • Familiarity with industrial robots and PLCs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High sense of urgency, ownership, and reliability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and performing maintenance in varied positions (stooping, bending, kneeling, etc.)

Position Responsibilities

Electrical Panel Fabrication & Assembly

  • Build low-voltage control panel boxes by installing relays, circuit breakers, HMIs, plugs, switches, solenoids, wire ways, DIN rails, terminal strips, and more
  • Follow electrical schematics and documentation to complete accurate and high-quality builds
  • Layout and create physical control box features by drilling, tapping, and punching panels as needed

Wiring & Installation

  • Perform point-to-point wiring for PLCs, relays, motor starters, and VFDs
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings with precision

Testing, Support & Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Operations to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, supply chain, and logistics. This individual will have a proven track record of managing the P&L and scaling operations in a multi-location campus environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in driving process improvements, integrating automation, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Core Responsibilities

P&L Management

  • Proven track record of managing the P&L for operations of $175M+ across multiple locations, ensuring financial performance aligns with corporate goals.

Operations Leadership

  • Lead and oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, supply chain, and logistics to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

Team Building and Leadership

  • Build an adaptable organization capable of integrating new automation and process improvements.
  • Establish a high-performance culture by fostering teamwork, morale, and professional development among operations and plant staff.

Financial Performance Improvement

  • Improve financial performance through operational cost control, labor and material optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in improving product line gross margins by optimizing processes and controlling costs, including labor, materials, and automation.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
  • Proven experience managing a large P&L with operational responsibilities exceeding $175M+.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change, foster teamwork, and integrate new technologies.
  • Expertise in managing multi-location operations and implementing process improvements.
  • Demonstrated success in improving financial performance and product line margins.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and lead teams at all levels.

Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification (Black Belt or Green Belt).
  • Any relevant leadership or management certifications.

Process Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Injection Process Engineer to join our client’s manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operation of injection molding machines, particularly in the processing of PVC components. The successful candidate will drive process optimization, support quality assurance, and provide training to technical staff. Position Responsibilities

Process Optimization

Test new or repaired molds to validate the correct settings, and develop or update standard procedures. Implement optimized processes and train operators to follow detailed instructions, aiming to reduce cycle times, improve product quality, and minimize waste.

Inspection & Quality Assurance

Oversee and enhance inspection processes to ensure alignment with quality standards. Analyze data, identify process deviations, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.

Troubleshooting

Perform regular tests and inspections to identify injection process issues, material flow concerns, or equipment faults. Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with maintenance teams to maintain equipment reliability.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain up-to-date process documentation including operational controls, process sheets, standard operating procedures, and machine settings. Work with cross-functional teams to boost process efficiency and support improvement initiatives.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures in mold and equipment handling. Maintain compliance with all regulations, identify workplace hazards, and support a clean and organized environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Prerequisites

  • Mandatory Education: Complete High School Diploma
  • Desirable Education: Associate Degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • Desirable Experience:
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding, especially with PVC
    • Familiarity with various injection molding equipment and tooling systems
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating, setting, and troubleshooting injection molding machines
    • In-depth knowledge of PVC processing
    • Ability to read technical drawings and machine manuals
    • Understanding of molding parameters including:
    • Closing (locking force, pressure, speed, and position)
    • Mold protection (pressure and position)
    • Injection settings (speed, pressure, steps, shot size)
    • Hold (time, pressure, position)
    • Ejector and core systems
    • Alarms monitoring
    • Cooling and suck-back timing
    • Back pressure and charge positions

Certifications (Preferred, not required)

  • Injection Molding Technician Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Certification
