Detroit Quality Assurance Officer Overview: 

The Detroit Quality Assurance Officer will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager at the company’s global headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. The Quality Assurance Officer shall be in charge of creating and implementing quality procedures for all North American operations. Ideal job candidates will have several years of job experience in Quality and have job experience updating or creating protocols.

Detroit Quality Assurance Officer Job Opening

  • The Quality Assurance Officer will create and upkeep the quality procedures at each location as it relates to inbound items, warehousing, repacking, and transloading.
  • Use data gathered from suppliers to forecast the available products compared to customer requirements outside of the greater Detroit area.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will assess the company’s quality processes and the success of their implementation at the Detroit, Michigan.
  • Compare product data against parameters.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will run reports on product fulfillment patterns.
  • Submit data sheets for new products to the global headquarters.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will input the quality specifications for goods in the company’s CRM system.

  • The Quality Assurance Officer will record, rectify, and revisit all complaints to ensure quality and satisfaction.
  • Establish policies and follow government regulations to guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to maintain all certifications and permits.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will lead and organize the quality systems to deliver exceptional results.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality systems such as GMP, GTP, AIC, GDP, HACCP, ISO, GAFTA.
  • Organize internal on site and set up external audits for plants and service providers.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will perform visits to key suppliers in order to explain audits and field questions while working out of Detroit, Michigan.
  • Review warehouses during visits.
  • Review all repack locations during visits at the Detroit, Michigan site.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer will review all transload locations during visits.
  • Assist trade and operations departments to maximize effectiveness.

  • The Quality Inspector must inspect and perform check on productions through out the entire production process through utilizing a variety of tools and devices in order to ensure quality. This process includes but is not limited to first piece, in process, supplier receiving, and final.
  • Utilize a multitude of measurement and inspection tools including but not limited to calipers, mics, bore and height gages.
  • The Quality Inspector will utilize a coordinate measurement machine in quality tests.
  • Keep equipment well maintained and readily available. Ensure that readings are correct and accurate.
  • The Quality Inspector must develop and maintain spreadsheets on inspections.
  • The Quality Inspector must partner with customers and suppliers to mitigate any quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the gage calibration and maintenance program. Calibrate some hand tools, and keep record of where all tools and gages are stored in the company system. Serve as a liaison for others performing calibration when necessary.
  • The Quality Inspector must collaborate with manufacturing staff when nonconformities are discovered, complete nonconformance reports and corrective action requests, provide input on solutions to improve quality.
  • Serve as an assistant to the the quality manager at the Detroit, Michigan site.
  • The Quality Inspector will furnish customers with certifications and data as necessary.
  • Assist in the ISO Certification process. Assist in the third party audit at the Detroit, Michigan plant.
  • Perform internal audits on equality to ensure standards are met.
  • The Quality Inspector must assist in new part planning.

  • The Quality Assurance Technician must additionally come up with reports based on data gleaned from inspections.
  • For this role, there is little to no travel necessary outside of Rockford, Illinois.

A large-scale industrial components manufacturer is looking to fill a Quality Manager job opening in the greater Kalamazoo, Michigan area. JMJ Phillip’s industrial recruiters are looking for a candidate for this job that is knowledgeable, independent, resourceful and able to maintain the high level of quality that this industrial component manufacturer is known for. The position will report directly to the President of the company.

Kalamazoo Quality Manager Overview:

The Kalamazoo Quality Manager is responsible for the oversight, development and performance of all aspects of VRW’s quality systems with the goal of assuring that all products and services provided meet client requirements. The Quality Manager will need to strive for scrap reduction and process improvements through development and maintenance of VRW’s system of quantifying, analyzing and reporting of scrap and other business metrics. Also, by identifying process improvement opportunities and leading the efforts to implement. It would be preferred for the Quality Manager to have significant Six Sigma and Lean techniques.

Kalamazoo Quality Manager Job Opening

  • The Quality Manager will need to be able to implement appropriate Lean techniques across VRW.
  • This job will require working manufacturing and technical services to identify training needs and opportunities.
  • The Quality Manager will have oversight, development and performance of all aspects of VRW’s quality systems.

  • Candidates need to be familiar with quality-related software systems and related training.

Quality Manager (Kalamazoo Area) Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
  • The Quality Manager should have 5-10 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • This job requires working with vendors to resolve material non-conformances.
  • This role requires auditing vendors to ensure supplier quality.
  • This job requires significant experience in Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
