Jackson Process Engineer Overview:

The Process Engineer must be able to support the department of manufacturing by providing technical support, innovation, and reduction of scrap at the Jackson, Tennessee plant. The position will need to utilize a variety of lean manufacturing methodologies in order to streamline the manufacturing process at the Jackson site. It is essential that the Process Engineer optimizes manufacturing cycles and finds the best ways possible to better production at the Jackson location. He or she will be a part of the engineering department and will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. There will be no one directly reporting to the Process Engineer at the Jackson plant.

  • The Process Engineer must develop methods of manufacturing optimization through methods such as six sigma, kaizen, or automation.
  • The role must set up and create metrics for manufacturing waste reduction at the Jackson, Tennessee plant.
  • The position must tooling changes and adjustments in order to complete projects on a timely basis.
  • The Process Engineer will need to audit current manufacturing processes and observe how they interact with manufacturing schedules.
  • The role will review tooling programs in order to optimize manufacturing productivity.
  • The position will support maintenance and engineering departments by troubleshooting machines, tools, and various machine problems.
  • The Process Engineer will work with Process Technicians and continuously support and improve their performance.
