Midwest Plant Manager Overview:
A plant manager is needed in the Midwest to directly oversee all plant operations of a large food processing facility. The successful plant manager will develop and execute policies and procedures that lower conversion cost, improve yields, and improve employee retention, while simultaneously reducing injury rates, maintaining quality, and ensuring on time delivery of products. The candidate will directly oversee departmental managers and hourly employees in a large midwestern manufacturing facility. Additionally, the plant manager will coach and train employees to utilize lean principles and correct deficiencies. Ultimately, the ideal plant manager will be able to engage all employees in business improvement in a large food processing plant in the Midwest.
Midwest Plant Manager Job Opening
- The Plant Manager will lead develop and execute the operations strategy.
- This job will ensure compliance with safety policies, corporate procedures, as well as customer and governmental regulations.
- This role assists with the development and implementation of operational and capital budgets.
- The candidate will optimize production through coordination with the organization and suppliers, and efficient use of machines and equipment.
- This job will utilize data, including OEE and process data to continuously improve productivity and reliability.
Plant Manager (Midwest Area) Job Requirements:
- This job requires a four-year degree from an accredited university in a related field of study. Degrees in operations management or engineering are strongly preferred.
- The candidate must have experience with lean/continuous improvement.
- This job requires 5-8 years of manufacturing experience with a senior leadership role. Previous experience in food production is preferred.
- This job requires a proven track record of exceeding target goals and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
