- This job requires supporting R&D in optimization of product designs and manufacturing capabilities.
- Must be able to work with R&D, Brand, Test Lab, Operations, Sourcing, and other departments to maximize labor and production capabilities.
- Leading manufacturing trials, testing measurements, and documentation is a chief responsibility of the Product Development Engineer.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, and Asia typically represents 15% of work time.
Product Development Engineer (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- This job requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (mechanical engineering is preferred).
- Candidates must be experienced with manufacturing environments in the United States, Mexico, and Asia.
- Experience with stage gate is required for this job.
- Must have experience with CAD software such as CREO and Solidworks.
- Must have experience in various manufacturing processes including; Injection molding, extrusion, metal stamping & forming, powder coating, fabric production & construction, plastic application, in addition to assembly methods.
- Textile engineering and R&D experience are highly preferable.
- Experience prototyping using 3-D printing is preferred.
- This job requires experience evaluating 3-D models for quality and safety.
