Columbia Department Manager Overview:
The Department Manager, based in the Columbia, South Carolina area, will oversee all activities and employees contained in his department. This includes supervisors, engineers, electricians, and other production staff. Their goal is to focus on the quality of work produced, minimizing waste, establishing and encouraging a timely team, and making sure the team stays safe. In addition, this job requires the Department Manager to ensure that equipment is maintained and running reliably, using Lean principles and Total Productive Maintenance in this Columbia-based manufacturing facility. Furthermore, the Department Manager will work to keep groups focused on their assigned tasks, producing memos and work orders to communicate expectations with each particular group.

- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, is required for this job.
