The Houston Materials Analyst will monitor manufacturing data to insure the facility is properly stocked with materials to meet customer orders. The Houston Materials Analyst will work closely with the manufacturing department internally and contacts at supplier companies. The Houston Materials Analyst will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Houston Materials Analyst Job Opening:

  • The Houston Materials Analyst will keep track of inventory data and identify trends.
  • Communicate with suppliers in order to ensure that parts are delivered at the proper and agreed upon time.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate rates and ensure that supplied materials reach all quality requirements.
  • The Houston Materials Analyst will create forecasts for necessary inventory levels in the future.
  • Prepare requisition requests for new material purchases.
  • Drive efficiencies through consistently analyzing and improving the materials forecasting process.
  • The Houston Materials Manager will work with the corporate office to coordinate accounts payable activities.
  • Keep track of material costs.
  • Ensure inventory counts are accurate.

Materials Analyst (Houston Area) Job Requirements:

  • A minimum for a high school diploma or GED.
  • A bachelors degree, particularly in supply chain or a related area, would be preferable for this position.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a role related to supply chain or materials.
  • Exceptional record keeping skills, highly detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage many priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication abilities, comfortable working and interacting with personnel internally and externally.
  • Comfortable with Mircosoft Excel, able to learn new software systems easily.
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
