The Chicago-based Procurement Officer will have a specific focus on maintaining compliance with all governing bodies (both internal and external). Candidates will be in charge of developing maintaining the company’s internal compliance procedures. It is the job of the Procurement Officer will also be sure to review and audit all subcontractor files, make sure employees are up to date on compliance training, and self-assessments. In addition, the Procurement Officer will work in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer regarding any communication with federal regulators relating to the procurement activities of this Chicago area company.

- The Procurement Officer will be in charge of developing and maintaining the corporate procurement system.
- Candidates of this job will be required to review procurement and project documents to ensure the other procurement staff complies with the procurement system of this Chicago-based company.
- Applicants must be able to coordinate and lead assessments related to subcontractors and other employees regarding the maintenance of compliance.

Procurement Officer (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Public Administration or related field is required.
- Candidates with a professional certification, such as CPSM, is preferred.
- 10 or more years of procurement experience, including 7+ years government contractor compliance or purchasing.
- The Procurement Officer will be an expert in the principles, concepts, and methods of compliance.
- Candidates are required to have knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- This job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
