Los Angeles Cost Analyst Overview:
The Cost Analyst’s main job responsibilities will include supporting the company’s financial management team in the areas of inventory and budgeting. He or she will be responsible for general accounting, material auditing, inventory control, and cost analysis. The Cost Analyst will work independently and in collaboration with the company’s engineering, materials, finance, and accounting departments as needed in the analyzation of cost accounting. Overall, this position will assist in the growth of the company through the analysis and proper use of resources and inventory.
Los Angeles Cost Analyst Job Opening
- The greater Los Angeles area Cost Analyst will be responsible for planning and carrying out periodic physical inventories and researching inconsistencies when necessary.
- He or she will analyze actual inventory, labor, and cost and compare to the standard quantity and budget.
- The Los Angeles area Cost Analyst will collaborate with the finance department to enact and implement cost accounting plans and strategies.
- He or she will assist in the creation of new budgets and forecasts.
Cost Analyst (Los Angeles Area) Job Requirements:
- This job requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from a four-year higher learning institute. MBA and/or CPA or CMA is highly preferable.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a related job role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the ability to collaborate with other department members and company members is necessary for this job.
- Professional experience with ERP systems and SAP understanding is highly preferred for this job in the greater Los Angeles, California area.
