Tucson Sr. Project Engineer Overview:
The Tucson Senior project engineer will work within an assigned engineering group. The focus of the job shall be to make improvements to quality and customer satisfaction for new and current products within an assigned product line. The Sr. Project Engineer will also identify areas for cost reductions without compromising quality and customer satisfaction. The Senior Project Engineer will mentor, lead, and coach interns, technicians, and other engineers assigned to the project.

- The Tucson Senior Project Engineer will create product designs and plan process improvements based on the root cause of identified issues.
- Partner with the manufacturing engineers and plant personnel to implement processes to improve product quality and prepare for product launches.
- Plan and oversee quality improvement projects from initial planning through the validation and production.
- The Tucson Senior Project Engineer will utilize CAD to model new product solutions as well as analyze product designs.
- Initiate the new product development process, plan and develop prototypes, and implement new concepts.
- Provide guidance to technicians, interns, and other engineers to develop their professional capabilities.
- Evaluate and make suggestions to designs.
- Ensure project deadlines are met through proper planning.
- Schedule, organize, and lead project meetings.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Sr. Project Engineer (Tucson Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- At least seven years of progressive experience with project engineering and design.
- A thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and design concepts.
- A high level of familiarity with 3D CAD software for drafting, modeling, and assembly.
- Ability to design low cost, high quality, high volume products.
- Experience as both a member and a leader for a cross functional project team.
- Proven ability to manage projects.
- Able to work from the office in Tucson.
- Experienced in managing or supervising a staff.
- Experience with fluid dynamics.
