We are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President, Supply Chain to lead and develop the supply chain, customer service, demand planning, and forecasting functions. This role drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and talent development while ensuring reliability across all systems and processes. The VP of Supply Chain will also manage the retail channel strategy and work closely with executive leadership to deliver strategic value and revenue growth.
Position Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy
- Own and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy, focusing on sustainability, process improvement, and cost and service targets.
- Optimize transportation and logistics across multiple modes including ocean, rail, truck, LTL, and cross-border shipments.
- Implement systems and dashboards to monitor and measure performance, costs, and efficiency.
Retail Channel Strategy
- End-to-end ownership of retail channel strategy with focus on revenue growth.
- Manage senior-level relationships with retail customers and drive strategic reviews, pricing, and line reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain capabilities with retail business goals.
Customer Service & Operational Excellence
- Oversee customer service teams to ensure high satisfaction and efficient order fulfillment.
- Standardize SOPs, leverage technology, and continuously improve processes.
- Align Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with business objectives to improve OTIF performance.
Leadership & Culture
- Develop and coach talent, manage performance, and ensure succession planning across the supply chain team.
- Cultivate an agile, customer-centric, and high-performing culture.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Financial & Risk Management
- Establish budgets, financial targets, and performance metrics for the supply chain function.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and sustainability practices.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in supply chain and logistics within a manufacturing or wholesale environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations and retail relationships.
- Proven ability to drive operational efficiency, optimize resources, and manage large teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive-level communication capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Supply Chain or Logistics certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
