We are seeking a Project Safety Assurance Manager to oversee and ensure safety compliance across all project activities. This role involves developing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, monitoring site practices, and fostering a culture of safety among project teams. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of safety regulations, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing safety in construction or engineering projects.
Position Responsibilities
Safety Program Development & Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain project safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Identify hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Training & Team Leadership
- Provide safety training and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Lead safety meetings and ensure consistent communication of safety protocols.
- Support a proactive safety culture across all project levels.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required.
Prerequisites
- Experience in safety management, preferably in construction, transit, or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, local regulations, and industry safety standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification a plus.
