We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Electric Traction to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of electric traction systems. This leadership role will drive innovation, efficiency, and reliability in electric traction solutions across engineering and operational teams.
Position Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the vision and strategy for electric traction systems.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical standards.
- Align traction technology initiatives with business objectives and market trends.
System Design & Optimization
- Oversee design, testing, and implementation of electric traction components and systems.
- Ensure systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to integrate traction systems seamlessly.
- Serve as the key technical advisor to senior management and external partners.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and specialists.
Prerequisites
- Proven experience in electric traction engineering, preferably in rail, transit, or automotive industries.
- Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills.
- In-depth understanding of traction system design, performance optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or equivalent licensure.
- Specialized training or certifications in electric traction or power systems.
