We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 2 to advance mechanical design projects by applying engineering expertise to complex systems and components. This role focuses on enhancing product performance, supporting development from concept to production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality engineering solutions.
Position Responsibilities
Advanced Design & Development
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for products, assemblies, and components
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software
- Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards
Engineering Analysis & Testing
- Perform simulations, stress analysis, and mechanical calculations to validate designs
- Conduct prototype testing and troubleshoot design issues
- Recommend design improvements based on test outcomes and engineering best practices
Collaboration & Documentation
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to implement designs
- Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and revision records
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and feedback
Project Support & Process Improvement
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing complex engineering tasks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in product design and manufacturing processes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Certification in CAD software or advanced mechanical design
