We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 1 to contribute to the development and improvement of mechanical systems and components. This role involves designing, analyzing, and supporting engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and innovation in all deliverables.
Position Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Create and develop mechanical designs for products, components, and assemblies
- Generate detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software
- Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and quality requirements
Analysis & Testing
- Perform mechanical calculations and simulations to validate design performance
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of prototypes or existing products
- Identify design improvements based on test results and engineering feedback
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to implement designs
- Maintain accurate design documentation and revision records
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input
Project Support
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing engineering tasks
- Provide technical support to internal teams during production or implementation
- Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Certification in CAD software or mechanical design
