We are seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and provide market intelligence to support our client’s manufacturing operations. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing key suppliers while developing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and risk.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:
- Identify and manage key suppliers across core materials, notably aluminum and copper.
- Conduct cost/benefit and risk analyses to develop sourcing strategies.
- Find and qualify new vendors in the US market.
Supplier Engagement:
- Represent the company in supplier interactions, including visiting manufacturing sites.
- Assess supplier capacity, quality systems, and productivity performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams and global counterparts.
- Support sustainability, trade regulations, and domestic sourcing strategies.
Prerequisites
- 5–10 years of strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing or energy-related industries.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret commodity markets.
- Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications.
What the Role Offers
- Salary range: $104,000–$130,000 plus 15% annual bonus eligibility.
