We are seeking a Process Technician to support the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the injection molding process. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot equipment, ensure product quality, and assist with mold changes and training within the facility. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring attention to detail and adherence to operational standards.
Position Responsibilities
Injection Molding Process Control
- Maintain control of injection molding processes and EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) for automation.
- Verify correct set-up of molds, processes, and auxiliary equipment before machine start-up.
- Establish proper molding conditions, perform process monitoring, and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure consistency with product quality and adhere to quality standards.
Mold and Tooling Management
- Perform mold, material, and tooling changes as scheduled.
- Assist in tooling maintenance and support mold setters when needed.
- Maintain setup sheets, record changes, and communicate issues with the senior technician, shift supervisor, and engineering department.
Production and Safety
- Follow the daily production schedule and prioritize work for improved efficiency.
- Maintain 5S housekeeping and adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation.
Prerequisites
- Detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and to sit, stand, and move about the facility for extended periods.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Industry-related technical or safety certifications are a plus.
