We are seeking a Systems Engineer – Mechanical who will support the design, integration, and verification of complex mechanical systems, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability standards are met across all project phases.
Position Responsibilities
Mechanical System Design & Analysis
- Develop mechanical system concepts, models, and specifications based on project requirements.
- Perform engineering analyses including structural, thermal, and dynamic evaluations.
- Support material selection, tolerance analysis, and manufacturability considerations.
System Integration & Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Define interface requirements and support resolution of mechanical integration challenges.
- Participate in reviews, technical discussions, and system-level coordination activities.
Testing, Verification & Validation
- Develop test procedures and verification plans for mechanical system performance.
- Support hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and data evaluation.
- Document results and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify technical risks and support the development of mitigation plans.
- Ensure mechanical systems meet applicable safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Maintain configuration control and follow established engineering processes.
Documentation & Technical Support
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and test documentation.
- Support customer briefings, design reviews, and technical exchanges.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders as required.
Prerequisites
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical or systems engineering.
- Background in mechanical system design, modeling, or integration.
- Familiarity with engineering tools for CAD, simulation, and system analysis.
- Experience supporting testing, prototyping, or production environments.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD software.
- Understanding of system engineering principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Other Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines.
- Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- INCOSE ASEP/CSEP
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Relevant CAD or simulation software certifications
