We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to ensure that all products meet strict quality and precision standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inspection methods, measurement tools, and quality procedures used in a manufacturing environment. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality standards.
Position Responsibilities
Inspection and Verification
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure product compliance.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming parts or processes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.
- Support traceability by properly tagging and recording parts throughout the production process.
- Assist in maintaining calibration records for all inspection tools and gauges.
- Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to supervisors and engineers.
Continuous Improvement Support
- Provide feedback to production teams on quality issues and potential process improvements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Help develop and refine inspection procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and reading technical blueprints.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles and measurement standards.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- OSHA or Safety Certification
- CMM Operation or Programming Training
