We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Engineering to lead all aspects of engineering operations and innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can align engineering initiatives with business objectives, foster a culture of technical excellence, and guide a multidisciplinary team toward continuous improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage complex engineering programs from concept to execution.

Position Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Provide overall leadership and direction for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to support product development, process optimization, and operational excellence.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering team.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company’s technology roadmap.

Project and Process Management

Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects across multiple disciplines.
Ensure that all engineering deliverables meet established performance, safety, and quality standards.
Establish and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Implement standardized processes and best practices for project management and technical documentation.

Technical Excellence and Innovation

Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance engineering capabilities.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, ensuring continuous learning and skill development.
Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product performance, and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal quality protocols.

Collaboration and Communication

Partner closely with Operations, Product Development, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of engineering projects.
Communicate engineering strategies, progress, and results effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Promote cross-functional collaboration to accelerate innovation and improve efficiency.

Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
Strong background in manufacturing, product design, or process engineering.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and implementing innovative engineering solutions.

Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

Professional Engineer (PE) License
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt)
Certified Engineering Manager (CEM)
