We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee facility and equipment design, installation, and modification while ensuring the health and safety of all team members. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Position Responsibilities
Environmental, Health, and Safety Oversight
- Ensure the health and safety of all team members by promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
- Identify and address hazards in a timely manner to maintain compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Support and implement company-wide EHS programs and initiatives.
Engineering Department Leadership
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and project engineering functions.
- Lead engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and performance tracking.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance technical skills and professional growth.
Project Management & Capital Planning
- Manage CAPEX planning, budgeting, and execution of engineering and facility improvement projects.
- Select and manage vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
- Drive process optimization, equipment reliability, and operational excellence initiatives.
Technical & Financial Decision-Making
- Make key technical and financial decisions to support safe and efficient plant operations.
- Evaluate and implement new production technologies to improve productivity and sustainability.
- Oversee GAPS and insurance-related engineering programs.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
- 3–7 years of experience in project or process engineering preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Kaizen, SPC, or Root Cause Analysis.
- OSHA Certification.
