We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer – Wastewater and Recycling II to support the design, implementation, and optimization of wastewater treatment and recycling systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving process efficiency, ensuring environmental compliance, and contributing to sustainability initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who is ready to take on more responsibility in environmental and process engineering projects.
Position Responsibilities
System Design and Optimization
- Assist in the design, development, and improvement of wastewater treatment and recycling systems.
- Support process evaluations and recommend enhancements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure operations comply with all applicable environmental regulations and permits.
- Support documentation, inspections, and audits for wastewater and recycling systems.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in the preparation of technical and compliance reports.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors on system upgrades, installations, and maintenance projects.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide technical input during project planning and execution.
Continuous Improvement and Support
- Participate in sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
- Assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues related to water treatment and recycling systems.
- Support the implementation of best practices in environmental and process engineering.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in wastewater treatment, recycling operations, or environmental engineering.
- Familiarity with water and waste management systems, treatment processes, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and data analysis tools.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Wastewater Operator Certification
- OSHA Safety Certification
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification
