We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Logistics Branch Director to lead the daily operations, performance, and growth of a logistics branch. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in transportation, supply chain, and logistics management, with a proven ability to drive operational excellence, optimize efficiency, and lead high-performing teams. This position plays a critical role in shaping branch strategy, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business growth.
Position Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Oversee and manage daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and implement short-term operational plans and objectives in line with the company’s strategic vision.
• Drive productivity through effective resource allocation, process optimization, and employee engagement.
• Ensure smooth execution of logistics functions including air, ocean, local distribution, drayage, and warehouse operations.
Performance and Process Management
• Monitor branch performance metrics and financial targets, preparing regular reports on revenue, cost, and service quality.
• Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality across all operational processes.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues such as service delays, incidents, or claims to maintain service integrity.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Team Development and Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve individual and team goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee all aspects of human resource management including recruitment, performance evaluation, training, and career development.
• Conduct daily and weekly meetings to review operations, share updates, and ensure alignment on key objectives.
Client and Business Development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support sales initiatives and assist in securing new business opportunities within and beyond the existing customer base.
• Ensure that customer requirements are met with high-quality logistics solutions and timely service delivery.
Prerequisites
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management required.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing logistics operations or branch-level teams.
• Deep understanding of international transportation, freight forwarding, and distribution operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics management systems (TMS/WMS preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 10% within the U.S.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
