We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Management to lead and oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, proven leadership skills, and the ability to optimize processes that ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Establish KPIs and monitor performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee sourcing strategies to ensure quality, cost-effective procurement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
Inventory & Logistics Oversight
- Manage inventory planning and control to ensure proper stock levels.
- Direct logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Implement systems and tools to enhance supply chain visibility and traceability.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize disruption and maintain operations.
Prerequisites
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with leadership in a director-level role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Six Sigma or Lean certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
