We are seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to support the overall operations, production efficiency, and quality control of a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee daily plant activities, manage teams effectively, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, process improvement expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet production goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Position Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations to ensure production goals are met on time and within budget.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, safety, and quality.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop plant staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
Process Improvement
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.
- Lead initiatives to reduce downtime, improve workflows, and optimize resource utilization.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular operational reports to senior management.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
Prerequisites
- 5–8 years of experience in plant management, manufacturing supervision, or related leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and quality control processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with all levels of the organization.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
