We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Manager, Supplier Quality Engineer to lead and enhance supplier quality performance across the organization. This individual will be responsible for developing supplier quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing cross-functional collaboration to ensure supplier compliance and product integrity. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for quality excellence. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Position Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality systems and performance metrics
- Lead supplier audits, assessments, and corrective action processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards across the supply base
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align quality objectives
- Provide technical guidance on supplier selection, qualification, and ongoing performance improvement
- Serve as the primary quality liaison between internal teams and external suppliers
Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supplier chain that could impact product quality or delivery
- Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, and SPC
Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee documentation and reporting of supplier performance metrics
- Ensure proper documentation of quality standards, deviations, and compliance audits
- Support regulatory audits and customer quality inquiries related to supplier performance
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100), and supplier audits
- Proven experience with problem-solving tools and quality methodologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
- Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)
