We are seeking a self-motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to lead market development and provide technical sales support for a portfolio of high-precision grinding, super finishing, and flat lapping solutions. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in capital equipment sales and an understanding of advanced manufacturing processes. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, engineering, and product teams to deliver customized, application-specific solutions. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share for:
- Grinding Equipment: ID/OD grinders, face grinders, dual face grinders
- Super finishing Equipment: Inner and outer race super finishing machines
- Flat Lapping Machines: Single- and double-sided precision lapping systems
- Identify new business opportunities through research, customer outreach, and industry engagement
- Conduct market analysis to track industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Customer Engagement & Solution Delivery
- Act as the main point of contact between customers and engineering teams
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions tailored to specific production processes
- Deliver product demos, conduct technical presentations, and support trade show activities
- Maintain long-term client relationships through regular interaction and support
Sales Operations & Project Coordination
- Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to engineering and final delivery
- Track sales pipeline and manage CRM data for accuracy and forecasting
Prerequisites
- 3–5+ years of technical sales experience in capital equipment or advanced manufacturing systems
- Strong background in grinding, super finishing, or precision machining
- Experience working with customers in the bearing, optics, semiconductor, or precision component industries
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, especially ID/OD grinding and raceway finishing
- Proven ability to manage a sales territory and customer base independently
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Sales Engineer (CSE)
- Lean Six Sigma or process improvement certifications
- Relevant technical or machining certifications
- Professional development in capital equipment sales or manufacturing systems
