We are seeking a reliable and skilled CNC Machinist to join a production team committed to quality and precision. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machinery, reading technical drawings, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy in a manufacturing environment. Position Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machinery according to established procedures and production requirements
- Load materials and set machine controls to ensure correct specifications
Blueprint & Measurement Reading
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to determine machining processes and tolerances
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part accuracy
Quality Control & Inspection
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet design and quality standards
- Report and troubleshoot deviations or non-conforming products
Routine Maintenance
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines to keep them in optimal condition
- Assist in identifying and reporting potential mechanical or safety issues
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship a plus
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery in a production or job shop setting
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC operating software preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- NIMS Machining Level Certifications
- OSHA Safety Certification
- CNC Operator or Machinist Certification
