We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Reliability to lead and enhance reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) efforts as part of a highly collaborative manufacturing environment. This role is central to driving continuous improvement by analyzing equipment performance, reducing chronic failure points, and implementing strategic maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, data-driven, and well-versed in engineering methodologies to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities
Reliability Strategy Development
- Design and implement robust reliability engineering strategies and maintenance plans
- Champion reliability-centered maintenance practices aimed at minimizing downtime and improving machine performance
Failure Analysis & Prevention
- Identify chronic or repetitive equipment failure points and develop solutions using tools such as FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct safety risk analyses and corrective action planning
Data-Driven Improvement
- Analyze equipment performance data using CMMS software to identify reliability trends and optimization opportunities
- Manage cost of repairs, downtime/uptime, and parts inventory using asset management systems
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to align reliability goals and optimize performance
- Provide technical guidance, support troubleshooting, and assist in process optimization efforts
Process & System Enhancements
- Improve preventative maintenance and equipment inspection processes
- Develop troubleshooting guides, standard work instructions, and maintenance procedures
- Lead Kaizen blitzes, TPM events, and lean manufacturing initiatives to support continuous improvement
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and maintenance systems
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs
- Proficiency using CMMS software systems for asset management
- Practical experience in lean manufacturing tools and reliability methodologies such as FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
- Demonstrated success conducting Kaizen or other continuous improvement events
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Hands-on approach to troubleshooting and technical support
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Lean Manufacturing Certification
- Six Sigma Certification
- Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Certification
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD tools
