We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Account Manager to lead business development efforts and manage key accounts within the high-performance hose sector, particularly in the U.S. transportation market. This is a strategic sales role for a motivated professional who excels in customer relationship management, technical sales, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work directly with leadership to identify new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction through tailored solutions and technical expertise.
This position requires regular client engagement, travel to industry trade shows, and collaboration with internal teams through virtual and in-person meetings. You will play a critical role in executing the company’s growth strategy and building a strong presence in competitive markets.
Position Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing and global sales teams to target high-potential prospects and markets.
Account Management
- Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with major clients to drive repeat business.
- Act as the key point of contact between customers and internal departments such as Engineering, Production, and Quality.
Customer Support & Troubleshooting
- Resolve issues related to quality, logistics, and supply chain with professionalism and urgency.
- Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer audits.
Sales Reporting & Tools
- Use ERP and CRM systems to track sales activities, manage customer data, and report on performance.
- Access customer portals to gather and analyze essential information for decision-making.
Travel & Representation
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to engage with customers and attend trade events.
- Participate in management meetings to report on KPIs, metrics, and sales initiatives.
Compliance & Documentation
- Interpret technical documents such as safety rules and operational procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and regulatory standards.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, ideally in rubber products, hose, or within the manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors.
- Strong command of CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
- Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and written communications to diverse audiences.
- A valid driver’s license, passport, and a clean driving record.
- Must have access to a personal credit card for travel expenses.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Sales Executive (CSE)
- Technical Sales Certification (TSC)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
