We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Aviation Maintenance Faculty member to join our client’s instructional team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about aviation education, committed to student success, and capable of delivering high-quality technical instruction in a classroom and hands-on lab environment. This role is a great opportunity for a seasoned aviation maintenance professional who is ready to inspire and guide the next generation of aircraft technicians.
Position Responsibilities
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver engaging classroom and lab instruction in accordance with FAA Part 147 standards and institutional curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance course relevance and effectiveness.
Student Support and Mentorship
- Provide guidance and support to students both academically and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and growth.
Program Development and Collaboration
- Participate in curriculum reviews and program updates to ensure alignment with industry needs.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to maintain program quality and accreditation standards.
Prerequisites
- A&P Certification (Airframe & Powerplant).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of industry experience in aircraft maintenance or related fields.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational staff.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred but not required.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Inspection Authorization (IA)
- FAA Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME)
- OSHA Safety Training Certification
- Certified Technical Instructor or similar credential
