A well-known manufacturer in the packaging industry is seeking a Toolmaker in the greater New Haven, Connecticut area.

New Haven Toolmaker Job Opening

Develop new tools with little to no supervision using print to part tool development.
Oversee teaching and training of inexperienced toolmakers and apprentices during the transition from development to production.
Review sketches, models, and/or blueprints to plan operation’s sequences for fabricating tools, assemblies, and dies.
Continuously develop knowledge of equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, power saws, honing machines, hydraulic, and manual arbor and other types of presses and all other tool room equipment.
Ensure all engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data are followed precisely.

Toolmaker (New Haven area) Job Requirements:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
At least 5 years toolmaking experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be familiar with the development of eyelets.
Demonstrated experience handling all aspects of metal forming from print to production.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
