Newport Quality Engineer Overview:
The Newport, Rhode Island area Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing a liaison between the quality department, internal departments, and customers while supporting the quality manager to ensure ISO certification. The Newport, Rhode Island area Quality Engineer will also be responsible for conducting supplier and internal audits while supporting customer audits as well. The Newport, Rhode Island area Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting improvements through analyzation of quality data in order to determine trends and generate new actions with SCP, 8D RCCA, and FEMA. The Newport, Rhode Island area Quality Engineer job may include other duties that may be assigned by upper management.

- This job requires reviewing customer requests and proposals for quality requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for this job.
- At least two years of quality experience is needed
- Previous knowledge of Lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of SPC and Cp/Cpk.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
