The Detroit Mechanical Engineer will design and create mechanical systems for customers based on specifications and understanding of customers needs and objectives.
Develop solutions that are creative yet attainable as well as within time and cost constraints.
Manage several design projects simultaneously, collaborate with other engineers on projects to provide assistance and meet deadlines.
The Detroit Mechanical Engineer will meet with customers and vendors to understand and establish requirements for the projects.

Mechanical Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:

A four year degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, masters degree would be preferable.
At least five years of experience designing mechanical systems.
Familiar with designing tooling and fixtures in 3D modeling software.
Familiar with Autodesk Inventor software.
Experience designing equipment for automated manufacturing processes.
Experience designing complex, precision assemblies.
Understanding of standards for manufacturing safety.
Familiar with Microsoft office suite of programs, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Familiar with prototype designs and builds leading up to transfers to production.
Detail-oriented mind set.
Able to develop creative solutions to problems.
Proven history of meeting project deadlines.
Devoted to continuously learning and keeping up with trends in the industry.
