Rapid City Environmental Manager Overview:
The Rapid City Environmental Manager will work to establish and maintain environmental quality standards for the facility. The Rapid City Environmental Manager will ensure that all internal and external regulations governing the facility will be upheld to the fullest degree. This position will also organize and lead training events within the facility.
Rapid City Environmental Manager Job Opening:
- The Rapid City Environmental Manager will be responsible for keeping the facility aligned with all environmental standards which apply to it.
- Develop standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement projects.
- Ensure that staff members are trained in the proper activities to maintain conformance with environmental standards and regulations.
- The Rapid City Environmental Manager will perform evaluations of the facility to monitor compliance with standards and regulations.
- Develop and lead presentations, training, and other events to educate personnel on proper procedures and conduct within the facility.
- Perform studies to find ways to improve the environmental quality within and outside the facility.
- The Rapid City Environmental Manager will direct the activities of environmental technicians.
Environmental Manager (Rapid City Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering, environmental biology, or a related area.
- At least 8 years of related experience.
- Experience working within a publicly funded organization.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations.
- Strong understanding of government environmental regulations.
- Deep understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Great communication skills, able to connect with a personnel throughout the organization.
