Atlanta Industrial Engineer Overview:
For this job, the Industrial Engineer will act as the main change agent for the greater Atlanta, GA manufacturing and distribution sites. He or she will run time tests and extensive audits on employees and how they conduct day-to-day production. The Industrial Engineer will serve a champion-like role for lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives at all areas of the each site within the greater Atlanta, Georgia location.
The Industrial Engineer will have various waste reduction and process improvement goals that he or she will have to hit on a monthly basis to ensure continuous improvement and progress. The Industrial Engineer will not need to travel far outside of Atlanta, Georgia for this job, and he or she will be a part of the engineering and manufacturing departments.
Atlanta Industrial Engineer Job Opening
- The Industrial Engineer will strategize and define manufacturing problems and processes in quantitative terms in order to track data and identify areas for improvement.
- This role will assist managers and supervisors with setting performance metrics and production KPIs and goals.
- This job must develop layout concepts, process flow, and work measure performance.
- This role will collaborate with third party vendors to optimize packaging processes.
Industrial Engineer (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- A 4-year degree in an engineering or technical field is required for this job.
- At least 3 years of experience in lean manufacturing and waste reduction.
- Six sigma green belt at a minimum.
