Ontario Supplier Quality Engineer Overview:

For this job, the Supplier Quality Engineer will be reporting to the greater Ontario site’s Director of Purchasing & Logistics. He or she will support the selection of company suppliers and vendors by conducting in-depth analyses and audits. The Supplier Quality Engineer will conduct corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) for suppliers based on their actions. The Supplier Quality Engineer will not manage any quality technicians or quality coordinators directly, but he or she will be expected to provide mentorship and training on industry best practices. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be a part of the purchasing department at the greater Ontario, Canada site for this job.

• The Supplier Quality Engineer must conduct corrective actions of suppliers and implement in-depth audits and analyses.
• The Supplier Quality Engineer will additionally maintaining supplier scorecards, holding them accountable for performance and ensuring the continuous improvement and success of the Ontario manufacturing sites.
• The Supplier Quality Engineer must attend monthly purchasing meetings to discuss supplier performance and opportunities to improve.
• The Supplier Quality Engineer will take on any additional jobs as necessary. 

Supplier Quality Engineer (Ontario Area) Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in a supply chain or an engineering-related field is required for this position.
• At least 5 years of experience while on the job.
• Strong automotive experience is required for this job.
