Grand Rapids Service Technician Overview

The Grand Rapids Service Technician will perform a variety of duties to ensure customer satisfaction and to ensure that equipment functions optimally. The Grand Rapids Service Technician will assist with installations, technical support, maintenance, and trainings. The Grand Rapids Service Technician will work with customers to ensure they are pleased with the level of service provided and that the equipment meets their requirements.

Grand Rapids Service Technician Job Opening:

The Grand Rapids Service Technician will install equipment purchased by customers.
After equipment has been delivered to the client, the Service Technician will ensure that the equipment is properly installed and functions correctly.
Provide technical support and perform maintenance service calls.
The Grand Rapids Service Technician will debug PLCs for customers as necessary.
Ensure that appropriate staff at customer facilities are trained in proper operation and maintenance of the equipment sold.
Write up documentation of all actions taken during the installation of equipment.
The Grand Rapids Service Technician will keep record of all maintenance taken during service calls.
Share information on common machine failures or issues with appropriate personnel.
Share experience on solving common maintenance issues with other technicians.
Perform check in calls after performing service or repairs in order to ensure clients are satisfied with the services provided.
Elevate service calls in cases where the problem cannot be solved.
Perform other duties as necessary and directed.

Service Technician (Grand Rapids Area) Job Requirements:

A minimum of a high school diploma.
An associates degree in a technical discipline would be preferred.
At least five years of experience as
High level of familiarity with PLC’s.
Understanding of the principles of electronic controls.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to basic users.
Exceptional problem solving skills, able to identify issues and mitigate them.
Able to write up reports and documentation of maintenance or actions performed on site.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
